On the 21st of April, Teach For Sierra Leone had the privilege of hosting Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman of the World Bank and Lansana Keifala, Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission Sierra Leone, at Global Outreach Primary School in the Masantigie community. This is our first model school, currently hosting seven Fellows across KG3 to Class 6, and led by a Headteacher who is also an alum of Teach For Sierra Leone.

The visit offered a firsthand look at how Fellows are driving classroom impact and improving learning outcomes in the community. Across levels, pupils demonstrated growing engagement and curiosity within supportive and inclusive learning environments.

The school’s Student Leadership Council and Climate Club also showcased student-led initiatives, reflecting a strong culture of responsibility and leadership among pupils.
During stakeholder and community engagement, the school administration and community members expressed sincere appreciation for the intervention and its positive impact on their children’s learning. Our guests also acknowledged the work being done, recognizing its contribution to strengthening education in underserved communities.
To conclude the visit, Dr. Rahman and Mr. Keifala held a direct engagement with Fellows, gaining deeper insight into their experiences, challenges, and the impact of their work.

This visit underscores the importance of collaboration between government, partners, and communities in advancing access to quality education. Teach For Sierra Leone remains committed to building a movement of transformational leaders working to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.
